Re-discovering the world’s classic cocktails and mixing new ones.

From March 2024 onward, I will be going deep! One cocktail per month – a very detailed history, variation tasting, and most importantly a recommended ultimate mixing guide.

The Backstory

In 2016, I tried 366-different drinks (#366drinks). After that, I continued my cocktail exploration, and in 2020, when Sydney’s went into Covid-19 Lockdown, I felt I needed to use the time for something enjoyable. So why not a mixology adventure, reacquainting myself with classic cocktails and giving some of them a ‘Locktail’ Covid-inspired make-over. The result was the 77-cocktails recorded on this ‘Locktail’ website between August 2021 and May 2022.

Now that strange time is over, my cocktail journey is continuing in a more serious vein.

Having completed the European Bartender School’s – International Bartender Course in November 2023, and the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trusts) Level 2 in Wine (and undertaking Level 3 in 2024), I feel like I need to professionalize this cocktail exploration.
